开营 | 2018米兰站官网网站—ETH联合教学研究生工作坊系列报道（一）

2018年9月3日上午10点钟，秋学期开学的第一天，米兰官方网站入口—ETH联合教学研究生工作坊于设计学院五楼正式开营。我院邀请了来自瑞士的苏黎世联邦理工大学的三位教授来我院进行学术交流，并开展为期三周的研究生工作坊的联合教学活动。

研究主题

“Intimate material space—The entanglement of private and public space through explorations of materiality”

课程描述

How can materials make intimate spaces? During the workshop the participants explore the inherent qualities of different materials and how to use them for specific settings. Aiming for the production of a full scale pavilion offering intimate spaces for leisure, group meetings and private activities on the campus, the students develop various design schemes informed by their own experiences and needs, inputs from the tutors and small material exercises. Focussing on the perception and evaluation of materials such as timber, textiles, steel or glass, different nuances of material qualities will be identified and their combination tested in full scale. The group will then produce one design together in a series of small steps mastering and crafting materials for structural, architectural and interior purposes.

教学过程

开营的第一天，几位导师逐一介绍了各自的研究方向，讲述了本次工作坊的研究主题以及今天的课程任务。

首先，Mario Rinke教授提问“How canmaterials make intimate space?”引入主题，后以自己多年的设计研究作品为例，带领大家了解材料，结构，空间与形式，对比多种材料之间的不同特性，从而衍生出不同的建造结构。

之后，Alessandro Tellini教授向大家介绍了苏黎世联邦理工大学的模型实验室中，包括plaster and concrete workshop，digital workshop，CNC and metal workshop ,wood workshop, elective workshop等多个不同的workshop，来展示不同材料的设计作品与工作室模式。

最后，由Klaus Zwerger教授带领大家领略其长期致力研究的传统木结构世界，包括位于中国，日本，越南等东南亚的传统木结构建筑。教授表示，近贰拾多年来，每年都会用2个月时间去世界各地调研木结构建筑，已出版多部关于木结构建筑的专著，在中国还发表了一篇名为《中国传统建筑的可持续性》的期刊文章。

在理论讲解和案例分析后，老师们给出了一个第一个阶段练习。

作业一

以给定的森林，山丘，城市，工厂，沙漠，梯田6个环境位置（location）为基础，设计完成能够容纳1-2人，符合既定环境的庇护所。各小组在经过两轮和教授们的沟通和探讨之后，迅速开始备料建造，经过多次失败和尝试，各小组终于完成了最终的搭建。教授们开始了最终的小组陈述和评图，对每一件作品都逐一进行了评讲和分析。
